Internship Period and Location

Internships will last for a period of six week during the summer months. Most internships are expected to be based in Lahore district however in other cases interns can be attached with the local Tehsil Municipal Administrations in their hometowns or other places where a demand exists.

Working Hours

            Monday to Friday       (8:30 am to 4:00 pm)
            Saturday:                  (8:30 am to 1:30 pm)

Attendance

85% attendance is mandatory for receiving internship certificate. Attendance will be strictly monitored through Biometric Attendance System. Habitual uninformed leave would result in disciplinary action

Confidentiality

Confidentiality of official matters is imperative at the Urban Unit and interns are required to follow it. A copy of confidentiality policy will be given to interns at the time of induction.

Standard Operating Procedures (SPOs)

Interns will be required to strictly follow documented and undocumented SOPs (based on set precedence), in order to maintain orderliness in the office environment.

Dress Code

The intern will be required to dress up properly in the office, e.g. dress pants and dress shirts, with or without a tie. . Casual attire like jeans, shorts, bermudas, athletic wear, T-shirts, joggers and slippers are strictly prohibited. Female Staff members are required to wear Qameez (full sleeves) & Shalwar/, Trousers with Duppatta/Scarf/Shawl.

Evaluation

Interns will be evaluated on the basis of their behavior, attendance, dependability and deliverables. Certificates will be awarded to those interns who obtain a satisfactory standing in their evaluation. A list of successful interns will also be present on our website.

Compensation

Interns will be provided a fixed amount as stipend at the end of their internships. Please note that interns will be responsible to organize and manage for their own accommodation, meals and transport.
